Dead On does not collect, store, or share any personal data.
We built Dead On to be a tool you can trust. That means your workshop stays yours. Here is exactly what happens with your data when you use the app.
What we store
Project names and calculation data are stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, this data is synced via Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) so it appears on your other devices. This data is encrypted by Apple and accessible only to you.
What we don't collect
- No analytics or usage tracking in the app
- No advertising identifiers
- No personal information
- No usage data sent to any server from the app
- No third-party SDKs that collect data
We have no server. There is no backend. Your data never leaves your device and Apple's encrypted iCloud infrastructure.
Data retention
Your calculation data and projects are retained on your device and in your iCloud account for as long as the app is installed. We do not have access to this data and cannot delete it on your behalf. You control your data entirely.
Voice input & speech recognition
Dead On supports voice input using Apple's on-device speech recognition framework. When you tap the microphone button, your speech is processed entirely on your device. Audio data is never sent to any external server, including ours. We never receive, store, or have access to your voice data. Microphone access is requested only when you first use voice input, and you can revoke it at any time in Settings.
Third-party services
Dead On uses the following Apple-provided services:
- Apple iCloud (CloudKit) — for syncing your projects and calculations across your devices. This is managed entirely by Apple and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Apple StoreKit — for processing in-app purchases. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
- Apple Speech Framework — for on-device voice input. All processing is local. No audio data leaves your device.
No other third-party services are used in the app. No analytics platforms, no crash reporters, no ad networks.
This marketing website (deadon.app) uses Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics service that collects anonymous page view data only. This does not apply to the Dead On app itself, which contains no analytics of any kind.
Data deletion
To remove all local data, delete the Dead On app from your device. To manage or delete iCloud data, go to Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage on your device.
Children's privacy
Dead On does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we collect no data at all, there is nothing to worry about here.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Since we don't collect your email or any contact information, we can't notify you directly — but we also have very little reason to change a policy that says "we collect nothing."
