How do I save a calculation?
Save to Project is a Pro feature. After any calculation, tap the "Save to Project" button to store the result. You can create new projects or add to existing ones. Your saved calculations are organized by project and synced across all your devices via iCloud.
How do I switch to metric?
Each calculator has an in/mm toggle at the top right of the screen. Tap it to switch between imperial (inches and fractions) and metric (millimeters). Your preference is remembered per calculator.
Do my projects sync across devices?
Yes. Dead On uses Apple's iCloud to sync your projects and saved calculations across all your devices. Make sure iCloud is enabled in your device's Settings under Apple ID > iCloud. Sync happens automatically in the background.
How do I restore my purchase?
If you've already purchased Dead On Pro and need to restore it (for example, on a new device), go to the app's Settings screen and tap "Restore Purchases." This will verify your purchase with the App Store and unlock all Pro features.
What wood species are included?
Dead On includes 30 North American wood species in the wood movement calculator, each with real tangential and radial shrinkage coefficients. Species include white oak, red oak, hard maple, cherry, walnut, ash, hickory, poplar, Douglas fir, pine, cedar, and many more.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
The free version includes the fraction calculator and basic board feet calculator. Pro unlocks everything: dovetail spacing, box joints, dados & grooves, mortise & tenon, wood movement with 30 species, and project saving with iCloud sync. It's a one-time purchase of $4.99 — no subscription.
Does Dead On collect my data?
No. Dead On collects zero data. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising. Your calculations are stored on your device and synced through Apple's encrypted iCloud. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
